What to expect...
Workshops are suitable for women, 18 + beginners through to those with some singing experience. Having fun is the key to learning whilst we go through the foundations of vocal technique. Workshops encompass stretching and tension release, relaxation (including simple mindfulness techniques), vocal warm-ups and ways to release your natural voice. You will also learn how to sing harmony and basic improvisation skills as we explore a variety of song styles including pop, rock, gospel, folk, jazz and blues.
Building trust is a priority as we work together. This is done by establishing group norms as well as optional engagement with individual, paired, and small group sharing. By developing a safe and supportive environment, it is hoped that individuals will feel able to take risks with their voices and so, make the most of the range of vocal opportunities on offer.

TESTIMONIALS
"Charlotte is a master space-holder and is helping me build confidence around my voice on so many levels. She's an amazing teacher and clearly LOVES her work with her whole heart 🩷." Joanna, Goolwa
"An absolute highlight of my week. Charlotte creates such a fun, safe and inclusive environment and knows how to get the best out of people and their voices." Sophie, Victor Harbor
"I have been a car singer my whole life and finally plucked up the courage to join Charlotte’s Voicework group last October. I was excited, nervous and feeling very vulnerable going into the first session however Charlotte’s warmth & professionalism immediately put me at ease. Group norms are clearly & gently set and I felt safe knowing that what happens in singing stays in singing! Each session I learn something new about myself within the group environment and it really feels wonderful being supported & encouraged and supporting & encouraging other women to be courageous with their voice. Charlotte has a gift for creating a space where vulnerability, emotion & courage are acknowledged & welcomed. We sing everything from folk to pop and there is a song for everyone - suggestions are encouraged! I have gained so much confidence with my voice and am now very happily singing around my family. I have to say it is one of the best things I have ever done in my life and I wish I had done it sooner, I feel like a part of me has been set free 🩷 Thank you Charlotte.
