Eating Disorder Recovery Support

Recovery from an eating disorder involves far more than changing eating behaviours. Often there are deeper emotional experiences, coping strategies, relationship patterns, and unmet needs seeking understanding and care.

I provide trauma-informed support for eating disorders, disordered eating, binge eating, emotional eating, body image concerns, and chronic dieting. Whether you are living with a diagnosed eating disorder or simply struggling with your relationship with food, your body, or yourself, therapy can offer a compassionate space for healing and change.

For many people, eating difficulties develop as understandable adaptations to emotional pain, stress, trauma, anxiety, or unmet needs. Rather than focusing solely on behaviours, we explore the underlying experiences that may be contributing to distress while building greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and emotional resilience.

Drawing on attachment theory, neuroscience, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), parts-based work, and trauma-informed counselling, therapy is tailored to your individual needs and goals. Where appropriate, we may also explore the relationship between emotions, nervous system responses, self-protection strategies, and eating behaviours.

Recovery is not about willpower, perfection, or self-control. It is about developing a safer and more compassionate relationship with yourself.

Together we work toward healing, body acceptance, emotional wellbeing, and a more peaceful relationship with food, your body, and your life.
